What a cookie is
A small file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise the browser on the next page or the next visit. Similar technologies do much the same job: local storage, pixels, embedded scripts. Everything below covers those too.
What we set
Nothing. No advertising pixels, no social trackers, no cross-site profiling. Our fonts and scripts are served from our own server rather than a third-party CDN. The analytics our host runs is cookieless, so it stores nothing in your browser either.
That is why there is no cookie banner. There would be nothing for you to consent to.
What a third party might set
One exception. Pages that embed video load a player from the video host, and that player sets a cookie of its own as soon as it loads, under its own policy rather than ours. At the time of writing that is a single bot-detection cookie on the video host's domain. It is not ours, we cannot read it, and it does not track you across sites.
Blocking them anyway
- In your browser. Every major browser can block third-party cookies, or clear them for one site, under its privacy settings. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
- With Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing. We don't do either, so it changes nothing, but the signal is honoured.
If this changes
Adding anything that sets a cookie means this page changes first, the effective date moves, and where the law requires it you get asked before anything is stored.
